Medication Take Back Day to be Held April 30th
“Medication Take Back Day to be Held April 30th”
(April 19, 2015, Marietta, Ohio) – Medication Take Back Day will be held on Saturday, April 30th, 2016 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. This event will help people properly dispose of unwanted, unused or expired medications. Medication Take Back Day is held so people can avoid drugs being stolen and illegally sold, poisoning of children and pets if they find and swallow drugs, and to help reduce contamination of soil and drinking water.
The event is a partnership of Memorial Health System, The Right Path for Washington County, the Washington County Sheriff’s Department, Area Agency on Aging and RSVP. Volunteers will be located at the collection sites to assist with and collect the medications. The collection sites are:
- Belpre Senior Center, Belpre
- Corner of Second and Putnam Streets, Marietta
- White Oak Pharmacy, Barlow
- Fort Frye High School, Beverly
- Buckeye Hills / Area Agency on Aging, Reno
- Devola Medical Center Parking Lot, Devola
- Hardwood Components, Inc., New Matamoras
